About Vyapaar
Vyapaar is a platform to create a ‘new start-up culture in India’. The event will showcase a line-up of panels, who will attentively hear entrepreneurs (herein “participating team”) pitch their prototype or product ideas. These panels will evaluate the proposed business concepts and products, subsequently determining whether to provide financial backing for marketing and mentoring each participant. Using these platform entrepreneurs will give business presentations to a panel of judges who decide whether or not to invest in their company. Vyapaar is a platform where aspiring start-up entrepreneurs have the opportunity to pitch their ideas before a panel of judges. The Event was open to all the UG & PG students. The competition aims to ignite innovation and foster entrepreneurial thinking. Participants had developed and present their business plans to a panel of esteemed judges, with the top ideas received mentorship and support to bring their vision to life. The Vyapaar 1st National Business Plan Competition, organized by the Centre for Innovation Incubation and Legal Entrepreneurship (CIILE) at Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna, was a landmark event aimed at promoting entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen among law students. Held over two days, the event saw participation from more than 15 prestigious universities and colleges across India, with over 35 teams competing. The event not only highlighted the importance of integrating business concepts within legal education but also showcased the innovative ideas that emerged from the young minds of our nation.
MODE : The competition was conducted in Online mode.
TEAM COMPOSITION: Each team was comprised a of minimum one and a maximum of two participants.

Event Structure: The competition was structured into several rounds, each designed to test different aspects of business planning and execution.
1. Preliminary Round:
– Each team submitted a detailed business plan, which was evaluated by a panel of judges on criteria such as feasibility, innovation, market potential, and financial planning.
– The top 12 teams were selected for the semi-final round.
2. Semi-Final Round:
– Selected teams presented their business plans to a panel of judges, followed by a Q&A session.
– Teams were assessed on their presentation skills, clarity of thought, and ability to defend their business model.
After that the top 4 teams were selected for the final round.
3. Final Round:
– The top 4 teams from the semi-finals advanced to the final round.
– Teams were required to give a comprehensive pitch of their business plan, highlighting the unique selling points and growth strategy.
– The judges evaluated the teams on overall impact, scalability, and strategic fit.
Result of the 1st edition of Vyapaar
1. Winner: AIIMS, Patna
– The team from AIIMS, Patna, presented an innovative healthcare startup focusing on affordable medical solutions for rural areas. Their plan impressed the judges with its scalability and social impact.
2. Runner-Up: GNLU, Gandhinagar
– The team from GNLU, Gandhinagar, proposed a legal-tech platform aimed at simplifying legal processes for startups. Their idea was praised for its practicality and market potential.
Feedback and Testimonials:
Participants: Many participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to present their ideas and learn from industry experts. They appreciated the structured feedback provided by the judges, which helped them refine their business models. The judges commended the quality of ideas presented and the level of preparedness displayed by the teams. They emphasized the need for more such platforms to nurture entrepreneurial talent within law schools.
